Founded by master sculptor Joseph Lee Benedict and award-winning singer/songwriter, media personality and educator Mercedez Lucke-Benedict, My Beautiful Spirit Productions blends art, engineering, music, film and education to inspire conservation awareness. We specialize in building and touring interactive kinetic sculptures that honor pollinators and desert wildlife.

Programs and Services
Our flagship exhibit, “Beautiful Spirit Interactive Art in Motion”, features handcrafted sculptures such as Majestic the Butterfly, Juniper the Dragonfly, and others. We provide exhibit installation, Artist Talks, and educational support materials such as coloring books. These activities foster joyful learning and environmental awareness among children and families.
Target Audience
Our primary partners include botanical gardens, museums, and science centers, and community arts spaces. We serve families, educators, and art lovers especially those interested in wildlife, sustainability, and community engagement.
Marketing and Outreach Strategy
We promote our work through printed brochures, social media, YouTube videos, podcast
features, email newsletters, radio spots, newspaper articles and appearances on public
media programs. We also build partnerships with local schools, event planners, and
garden directors to bring the exhibit to new audiences.
Revenue & Funding Model
Funding comes from individual donations, corporate sponsorships, foundation grants,
merchandise and coloring book sales, and exhibit honorariums. We also accept in-kind
support and materials for sculpture fabrication. A key funding goal is to support
transportation, lodging, production, and equipment needed for national exhibit touring.
Operational Plan
Operations include planning, sculpting, transport, and setup of each exhibit; engaging with
host institutions; and managing volunteers and education programming. Sculptures are
built at Caveman Fabrications in Marana, Arizona, and shipped to exhibit sites using
flatbeds or enclosed trailers. Travel logistics and insurance coverage are coordinated in
advance for each venue. Our team also coordinates media production, promotional
materials, and CD/book printing. Musical performances are provided by Mercedez as a
solo guitarist and vocalist, using portable sound equipment she maintains herself.
Creative & Production Expenses
Mercedez oversees original music production for exhibit artist talks and coordinates CD
recording, packaging, and distribution. She also leads the design and publishing of related
coloring and activity books. Video content creation for promotional and educational use
(e.g., sculpture previews, behind-the-scenes footage) is produced in-house and shared via
web and social media platforms. Marketing materials including brochures, posters, and
exhibit signage are created for each location. Joseph leads fabrication and logistics,
managing all sculpture production, helper teams, shop tools, welding, finishing, and
shipment preparation.

About the Artist
At the heart of “Beautiful Spirit Interactive Art in Motion” is master sculptor and fabricator Joseph Lee Benedict, whose visionary artistry brings art to life. Each sculpture is handcrafted with precision and inspired imagination, a fusion of art, engineering, and nature’s design into kinetic sculptures that seem to breathe and move on their own, transforming metal and wood into living, moving works of art. As the lead artist and co-founder of My Beautiful Spirit Productions, Inc., Joseph is the creative force behind the Beautiful Spirit Interactive Art in Motion exhibit a touring collection of large-scale, human-powered kinetic sculptures that merge art, engineering, and nature’s design.

At My Beautiful Spirit Productions, we believe art has the power to inspire, educate, and connect communities to the natural world. Founded by Joseph Lee Benedict and Mercedez Lucke-Benedict, our 501(c)(3) nonprofit unites sculpture, film, music, and education to celebrate nature and wildlife. We are passionate about showcasing pollinators and wildlife the bees, butterflies, dragonflies, lizards, hawks,
and more that sustain our ecosystem. By pairing large-scale kinetic sculptures with original music and children’s educational materials such as our Desert Garden Friends Coloring & Activity Book, we create a complete learning experience that blends movement, imagination, and understanding.

Community & Family Engagement
To deepen the visitor experience, My Beautiful Spirit Productions offers family engagement programs that accompany the exhibit. Joseph shares his inspiration and process as a sculptor teaching children how science, engineering, and art merge to bring each creature to life through movement and imagination while Mercedez shares original songs inspired by nature and wildlife. Our Team
My Beautiful Spirit Productions is led by Joseph Lee Benedict and Mercedez Lucke-Benedict. Joseph, a master sculptor and fabricator, is the creator of this immersive, family friendly exhibit that showcases handcrafted kinetic sculptures. An acclaimed metal artist, Joseph brings Arizona’s vibrant desert wildlife to life through large-scale, human-powered sculptures. With working gears and hand cranks, visitors of all ages can interact with pieces like Majestic the butterfly, Juniper the dragonfly, and other desert creatures each designed to inspire wonder, curiosity, and a deeper appreciation for the natural world.
Mercedez is a multi-award-winning singer-songwriter, author, podcaster, CE instructor, LMT, remote-view healer, producer, content creator, and filmmaker. Together, they have built a dedicated team that includes artist fabricators, media producers, filmmakers, and
marketing professionals who are all working collaboratively for the organization’s nonprofit mission. This collective expertise allows My Beautiful Spirit Productions to handle all facets of exhibit creation and promotion. The result is a seamless experience for each host site and a lasting educational impact for every visitor.
Mentorship & Inspiration
Every artist’s path is shaped by those who came before. Joseph’s creative journey has been guided by mentors who taught him the balance of craftsmanship, precision, and imagination skills he now passes on through his art. His work is inspired by Leonardo da Vinci, whose genius united art and engineering, and Walt Disney, whose boundless creativity reminds him to dream bigger and build with joy.
